I'm thinking 2012 is going to be about changing things for myself.
This year, I've got 30 resolutions I hope to say I've knocked out by 2013!
Wish me luck!
Happy New Year!

So. I've been sporadic about posts for a couple months now.
And if you weren't in the know, this is why:

We miss him, so soo much.
But, I've had my time to deal with it now. And I'm ready to pick-up and start keeping myself busy and active and get back into the things that I love to pass the time. Including, but not limited to, blogging.

In case you missed the post, the other day Sophia and I got to go on a walk and hit-up some playgrounds. I posted the pics of the playground shenanigans, but I got some great shots on our stroll, too. As promised, here they are.

Rarely do I get to spend time with Sophia alone these days. Not that I don't love my son, but when I get girl time, I cherish it. It's hard not to cringe when she asks me "Baby down? Put baby down?" and points to the swing, or the bouncer. I try to include her in so much. (She even tries to change his diaper.) But there's alot of guilt there. We used to do everything together.
I know that one day, he will grow to be a boy and things will happen like they do and he'll be all about Daddy, and baseball, and LEGOs. But he needs me now... and she does too. She needs the tea-parties, the play-days, the ice-cream runs, the nights I fall asleep with her in her toddler bed watching Ni Hao Kailan. My little girl needs her mommy. And there are days where I really want to hand Ethan off to Hubbs and give her my every bit of undivided attention. I'm grateful when I get to. I don't know what will happen when he leaves in less than a month and I have them both, with no husband to lend me a hand and let me go have my mother-daughter time with our little girl... :( So for now, I'll delight in what I get, I suppose.
Recently, we got to enjoy a walk around the neighborhood, during which we stopped at -several- nearby playgrounds. I got some awesome pictures while we were about the neighborhood, and I got some great shots at the various playgrounds, too. Today's pics are of the latter sort. I'll post the rest of the pictures in another post, soon!

^ That smile trumps every photo I took that day, really. ^

^ But, that silly expression is pretty awesome, too. ^

Loads of Love

Ethan makes the cutest faces, and the cutest noises. I am truly blessed to have a little man with such personality. He smiles as soon as he sees me, he talks to me when he hears my voice, even when I'm not talking to him. And his laugh? Totally hilarious. Every piece of him is loveable. His baby-hair, the smell of formula on his breath, the way he kicks his legs when I approach him, his adorable attempts to already try to hold his own bottle.
But, ah, baby boy clothes? Now -that's- the surprise. Somehow I thought that boy-shopping would be totally boring, but I am sincerely pleased at the various options out there for little boys these days. It's a nice change from pinks and purples, certainly.
While going through his newborn and zero-to-three sizes (which he's already outgrown--- would you believe it?!) I took some photos before I sorted through to send them on their way. I meant to take pictures of the clothes, for Craigslisting...
Instead my camera captured the plethora of cute provided by Ethan.

I'm a damn proud, lucky, mama.
